ROBERT Pattinson says he’ll have to DIE for people to appreciate his music!

Rob — who was the singer of two songs on the Twilight soundtrack: Never Think, which he co-wrote with Sam Bradley, and Let Me Sign, which was written by Marcus Foster and Bobby Long — thinks he’ll follow in the footsteps of his hero, tragic Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.

“I am sure I’ll be one of those artists that people don’t pay any attention to while I’m alive, and when I am dead people will go yeah, man, that was a work of art,” he said.

“I see myself playing in a rundown blues bar, with about three people drowning their sorrows. I play according to my mood, and sometimes that can come across as very depressing in music.”

Recent reports claimed Rob and his rumored girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, are hoping to a achieve a “Johnny Depp level of fame”.

“After Twilight they are aiming for a Johnny Depp level of fame — to work when they want but to get peace and quiet when they don’t,” a source said.

“Right now, neither has accepted a role after Twilight so they may even take a whole year off.

“They think it’ll do them good to disappear for a while as they’re both in danger of being overexposed.

“Kristen knows Keira Knightley, who went on a Himalayan trek a few years ago to get some perspective on the madness of Hollywood. She’s convinced she and Rob should do the same. She wants them to just be a boy and a girl hanging out together.”

Mods, I have never posted on here before so am not sure if this is allowed but delete it if it isn't! :)

Okay, I have a ticket to see Marcus Foster play at The Social in London on Monday 29th (this monday coming) and I can't go anymore (He is supporting The Boy Who Trapped The Sun) Was wondering if anyone wanted my ticket? Don't want anything for it just if someone wanted to go rather not waste it as it's paid for. It's an e-ticket that I can just forward you in an email for you to print out. It has part of my name on it but doesn't say you need to bring ID on the door or anything so presume that isn't an issue.

If anyone wants it, first person to write their email address and I'll send it to you!

PARADE: So why not try an album?
Rob: "I kind of want to do one at the end of the year. All my friends are recording albums and I'm very annoyed about it. But I can't do two things at once. I don't know how people like Jennifer Lopez can act and also sing. I'm just like, 'I can't.' But, hopefully, I'll find some time to get it together."

At 2:20, "Steph wants to know what are your musical plans, what is happening with your music?"

"I might record some stuff later on this year."
There's like, five weeks left in the year.

Why did you prefer to be an actor and not a musician? Or do you think you can be a musician as well?
I think in many ways you can do both, but it’s very hard to follow both careers seriously. And to be honest, I wasn’t very interested in making money with music. I make music for therapeutic reasons. But music can help acting, timing wise. You become less shy. It’s like when you’re with people, there’s a barrier. You feel naked. I think that helps.

Robert shares with us that he’s writing music for a movie.
“Yes I wrote music. I’m writing music for a movie, but it’s just the music. I won’t be singing in it”.

Will you ever write music for any of the Twilight films? (score)
The music I’m writing is for a movie that it might never get made.

What’s your favorite instrument to play? What you’re instrument of choice when you’re composing new music?
I play the guitar a lot because you can’t take a piano everyhere (mimics the movements and laughs). I like the feeling that I get, I love it. But I played the piano before I played the guitar. I’m starting to play a lot again. It’s always nice to play again. I love Van Morrison and all that 70’s music.

What kind of score do you think Rob wrote? Probably would help if we knew more about the movie but have a guess O_o
